This raw food salad dressing recipe is versatile because the miso and ginger lend it as a topping for Asian dishes while the orange and honey flavors allow it to complement more typical salads with carrots or beets.
1 orange, zest and juice
1/2 to 1 teaspoon minced ginger
1 teaspoon white miso paste (fermented soy-the safe way to enjoy soy. See Why Avoid Soy)
1 teaspoon raw honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon sesame oil
optional: Himalayan sea salt (the miso may be salty enough for you, so taste it first!)
Blend all ingredients in the Vita-Mix until creamy smooth. Stores in the fridge for 3 to 5 days.
